Today was a real eye-opener for us! The AFSCME team was split into four groups with widely different tasks to accomplish. The least popular among our compatriots was to drive over two hours into Northeast Iowa to deliver caucus info to the rural areas near the Wisconsin border. Robert and I pleased everyone by volunteering for this duty. We reached the tiny towns of Guttenberg, McGregor, and Volga in the early afternoon with the temperature near 0. To our surprise, these are Mississippi River towns with absolutely spectacular views. We delivered the info as best we could, considering several of the roads we traveled were completely snow covered and in some cases drifted over due to the high winds. We arrived back from our trek at nearly 10 pm, exhausted but satisfied that we had accomplished one more task that will help Hillary on her road to the White House. Tomorrow we will do final door-to-door visits in sub-zero wind chills to impress on our members the need to attend the caucuses for Hillary.
My Best to you All, See you Soon!
